Lab owners and technicians are recognizing the advantages to be gained from incorporating advances in the manufacturing processes and cutting edge techniques within their daily routine. This industry-focused programme provides informative and technical presentations from experts in the field.

There will also be a number of trade companies highlighting the latest inspection, scanning, CAD/CAM software and materials.

Bob Steingart is scheduled to speak on October 13 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Bob has been with SensAble for over 8 years, and was promoted to President of SensAble Dental Products in 2005. Bob has over 25 years experience in successfully transforming innovative technologies into commercial solutions. He has held executive positions in business development, product management, and marketing at Avid Technologies, EMC, Lotus Development, Sitara Networks, and Kurzweil Applied Intelligence. Bob holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and BSEE and MSEE degrees from MIT.

Bob will address the market acceleration factors that are driving even the smallest labs to CAD/CAM systems and share perspectives on some new and emerging technologies that will propel this adoption even faster.  In addition, he will talk about the underlying data structures and technologies that differentiate digital dental systems, and how they integrate with chairside technologies -- today and into the future.  He will also share some case studies from labs that have successfully made the transition to digital systems, including stories about how successful labs are utilizing non-dental technicians in their production workflows.
